Spider Table By Chris Murphy

Spider Table

For those of you who prefer futuristic furniture, Chris Murphy designed an interesting table called “Spider Table”. The odd-looking table “works” on 2 levels and it was made of glass, silicon and metal. Those legs that the designer created for the Spider Table are really attractive and not only for geeks, as they can move up and down depending on where you want to put it or how tall you are.

Two-In-One, It’s The Hanger Chair

Hanger Chair

It looks like the lack of space lead to desperate measures like this two-in-one product. It’s called Hanger Chair because, you guessed, it’s a hanger and a chair depending on what you need at different times of the day. The Hanger Chair was designed by Philippe Malouin with the purpose to hang the clothes in orderly fashion. The second use of the “hybrid” is to help you relax for a few minutes. I don’t know how much you will love the folding chair, but I’m certain that you might enjoy it when you go out on a barbecue.

The renowned architect Shigeru Ban has put to auction his Paper Tea House which is perfect for relaxation. Wouldn’t it be nice that every once in while you stay in there just drinking a tea and reading the newspaper? Yes, it would and you will not have to worry about anything, not even for the environment because the structure is adaptable, low-tech and recyclable. The Paper Tea House measures about 5 meters long and it will be auctioned at the Phillips de Pury & Company, London with a pre-sale estimated price of £20,000.

Cup and Jug To Help You To Pour Wine

Cup and Jug

Here is something practical but not very useful if you aren’t a meek person. These two pieces are called Cup and Jug and they were designed by Vert Design. Cup and Jug are made of free-blowen glass and according to their designer, they are very elegant. These glassy products are available for a price of $500 AUD (Australian Dollar). I can’t say that I am impressed by the Cup or the Jug and I don’t think that I would use them to pour water or wine, as the designer suggests.

Bioscleave House With A Bizarre Interior

Bioscleave House

The future is green. Everywhere you are looking, you see green concepts and this is very good because we need to do better in order to save Earth. Green houses are also becoming more and more popular, therefore more artists are designing greener concepts.

One of the most impressive green houses was developed by Madeline Gins and Arakawa which consists of forcing the people to “use their bodies in unexpected ways to maintain equilibrium”. The concept is called Bioscleave House and it features waving floors and the painting is so… well lively-colored with no more than 40 shades.

The problem with it, is that the Bioscleave House doesn’t allow children inside because of the risks and you would have to sign a waiver before you enter. If you would like to have a house like this, then you will have to pay the $2 million price tag.

Luminoso LED Rug Lets You Walk On Stars

Luminoso LED rug

Until now, i thought rugs weren’t stylish and only used for their functionality, until i’ve seen Luminoso. This rug sports lots of LEDs that light it, looking like the galaxy with stars. I think this is meant especially for science geeks, to keep them closer to the space. Would you use a rug like this ? I’d look for another.

Stores In Tokyo Are Turning Into Caves

Cave Model

Kimihiko Okada designed the interiors of several stores from Tokyo that now look like caves. He used a giant sheet of metal with a thickness of just a few millimeters to mold it into stalactite shapes.

The Diesel store from Aoyama is the ground floor for the exhibit, which is called Another Geography and is on the view until May 11th. If you would like to go back in time and see what was in the home of a Neanderthal, or you simply happen to be a geologist and find this decoration concept interesting, it just might be worth a visit.

Viper Made Of Recycled Computer Keyboard

Viper Made Of Recycled Computer Keyboard

After we presented some futuristic ideas for your home or your office, it’s time to show you something different. Korean painter Choi Jung Hyun designed a viper made of a recycled computer keyboard and he did it very well. His purpose is to teach people the importance of recycling in a more attractive way. The design is simply brilliant and I love those mice that surround the viper. We hope they liked it and from now on the will show more respect for the Earth.
