From Urban Junk To Urban Chic

Junkture Table

Recycling is an interesting theme for furniture and other objects for your house, but this is simply… madness. Beth Fuller has designed the Junkture Table which is 99% recycled and 100% recyclable. Perfect until now. This table has rims. Yeah, you heard me, rims like those that you put on a car.

Junkture Table

The idea came from the streets of New York City and to be more specific, straight from its junkyards. The idea was to show that “beautiful things can be made from junk” and the designer succeeded, but I don’t know if I would put that in my living-room.

The Sphere Is The Perfect Bed

The Sphere

Karim Rashid, a renowned and acclaimed interior, fashion, furniture and lighting designer has unveiled his latest product. It’s called the Sphere, it was unveiled in Moscow and the exclusivity belongs to Hollandia International. The Sphere will fit perfectly in your bedroom and it’s one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever seen.

The Sphere is covered in plush and it features a 32-inch TV with optional Theater System, champagne holder, a mirror on the outside, LED Florescent canopy-top lights and the best of them all is that it can give you a massage whenever you want one. If you don’t like the color and the fabric, you should calm down because you can choose your own.

The Hybrid Chair

The Hybrid Chair

The Hybrid chair can be used in any occasion, as it can be seen as a dining chair, an ottoman, a bench, if you line a few of them together, or as a simple stool. It has a back and a base, and the back can be mounted when you use it as a dining chair.

Hybrid Chair

Removing the back, you get an ottoman or a stool. Multiple stools aligned can form a comfortable bench of any length or design. The chair was inspired from experimentation with the simplest forms, and the designer used a light red color for the initial series.

This chair can seem almost childish through its simplicity, but remains an elegant option for most occasions. Its non-simetric lines can tip the visitors about your humorous personality, as the manufacturer amplified this characteristic just as much as he should have.

 TurnOn Multi-Functional Spinning Wall

Do you live in a small apartment? No problem, check out the latest idea that can make you forget that your family members are packed like sardines. The innovative furniture is called TurnOn Multi-Functional Spinning Wall and it’s actually a room, than furniture.

The massive circle can be rolled into numerous positions and each position consists of a different room. This might be a solution for little space, but I think you should consider buying one of these.

The Pixel Couch

Pixel Couch

It’s been a while now since the term of ‘pixel’ was invented, and some would have wondered how long will it take to integrate this notion into other more commonly used objects. Well, here it is: the Pixel Couch. It is a combination of rectangular-shaped colors, all combined with very good taste, smoothly passing from one shade to another.

Cristian Zuzunaga, a former student of the Royal College of Arts from England, is the designer of this pixel-looking couch that will be produced by Danish manufacturers at Kvadrat. The couch will be sold through Moroso, the famous Italian company.
