I never thought that I will put some LEDs in my furniture, but designer Mario Bellini proved me wrong. He created Stardust for Italian furniture company, Meritalia, which includes low-voltage LEDs . The sofas, pillows, armchairs and the footstools will offer a glossy atmosphere in the living room, but they are also waterproof and airtight therefore you can spend some time in the pool.

Have you ever read a book? I guess not many of you did, but nowadays it seems like there is nothing wrong with this because we can find everything we need on the Internet (I mean almost everything). Well, here is a bookshelf for geeks which displays SMS messages and RSS feeds, all of them selected at your choice. The bookshelf is connected to the Internet and it’s made of wood and elastomer.
Called WaSnake and designed by Jean Louis Frechin, it was unveiled at the 2008 International Milan furniture show and everybody enjoyed it immediately. The screen consists of optical fibers and sexy colored LED, and the display also features an interface for direct physical contact.
The WaSnake really looks great and we hope to enter into production soon because I am a fan of LEDs and I know that everybody likes them.

Old school or novelty? Which do you prefer? Both? No problem, here comes a lamp that combines them therefore there shouldn’t be any problem lighting your way with it. Christine Birkhoven mixed old with the new and came up with this lamp design called “Good Night Eileen” which is based on energy-efficient LEDs powered through magnetic induction. Pretty cool, huh? Well, maybe not… but the LED lighting surely is!

It’s called the Sphere, it was unveiled in Moscow and the exclusivity belongs to Hollandia International. The Sphere will fit perfectly in your bedroom and it’s one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever seen.
The Sphere is covered in plush and it features a 32-inch TV with optional Theater System, champagne holder, a mirror on the outside, LED Florescent canopy-top lights and the best of them all is that it can give you a massage whenever you want one. If you don’t like the color and the fabric, you should calm down because you can choose your own.

Until now, i thought rugs weren’t stylish and only used for their functionality, until i’ve seen Luminoso. This rug sports lots of LEDs that light it, looking like the galaxy with stars. I think this is meant especially for science geeks, to keep them closer to the space. Would you use a rug like this ? I’d look for another.
